2. Service Estimates & Payments
Quotes provided by phone, SMS, website forms, chat, or quote tools are estimates based on the information provided by the customer.
Final pricing may vary depending on vehicle condition, required labor, additional parts, diagnostic findings, or unforeseen circumstances discovered during service.
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept approved forms of payment at the time of service.
Failure to complete payment may result in collection actions or additional fees permitted by law.

- Pre-existing vehicle issues discovered during service

9. Call Recording & Communications
Phone calls to or from The Key Man may be recorded or logged for quality assurance, documentation, and dispute resolution purposes.
Live chat, SMS, and social media messages may be stored for recordkeeping and customer service purposes.
10. Warranty
The Key Man provides a one (1) year limited warranty on keys, key fobs, and remote programming services supplied and performed by our technicians.
This warranty covers defects in parts or workmanship related to the key, remote, or programming provided by The Key Man.
If a key or remote supplied by The Key Man stops functioning due to a defect in the product or programming within one year of the original service date, we will repair or replace the key or remote at our discretion.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover issues resulting from:
- Physical damage to the key or remote
- Water damage or exposure to liquids
- Lost or stolen keys or remotes
- Keys or remotes that are intentionally damaged or tampered with
- Normal wear and tear
- Dead or depleted batteries
- Damage caused by third-party repairs or modifications
- Issues related to the vehicle’s electrical system or immobilizer system
- Pre-existing vehicle mechanical or electrical problems
This warranty applies only to the original customer and the specific vehicle serviced.
11. Service Completion & Acceptance
Upon completion of service, the customer is responsible for verifying that the key, remote, or programmed device functions properly before the technician leaves the service location.
This may include testing functions such as:
- Vehicle starting
- Locking and unlocking
- Remote buttons
- Keyless entry functions
- Remote start (if applicable)
By accepting the completed service, the customer acknowledges that the key or remote was tested and functioning at the time of service.
Any issues reported after the technician has departed may require diagnostic inspection and may not be covered unless determined to be related to a defect covered under the applicable warranty.
12. Automotive Service Disclaimer
Automotive locksmith services involve working with mechanical locks, electronic systems, and vehicle security components that may already be worn, damaged, or malfunctioning.
While we take every reasonable precaution to perform services safely and professionally, certain components may fail due to pre-existing conditions beyond our control.
The Key Man is not responsible for failures caused by:
- Worn or defective vehicle components
- Prior damage or repairs
- Aftermarket security systems
- Manufacturer defects
13. Key Programming & Electronic Systems
Modern vehicles rely on complex immobilizer and security systems.
In some cases, programming attempts may fail due to manufacturer restrictions, vehicle module issues, prior programming attempts, or existing system faults.
The Key Man is not responsible for programming failures caused by vehicle system defects or manufacturer limitations.
