Fob didn't survive the beach
Sand and salt water are hard on a proximity fob. A weak battery is a quick fix. Water in the board usually means a new fob programmed to the car.
Locked out at Front Beach or Wild Dunes
Keys on the seat, doors locked while unloading — a routine, damage-free open, wherever the vehicle is parked.
Lost every key on a rental week
It happens more than people expect on vacation. A new key gets generated from the vehicle's own data, right at the car — no dealer trip needed.

Isle of Palms car key questions
How much does a replacement car key cost on Isle of Palms?
It depends on the key type. Basic transponder keys generally start around $75. Push-to-start proximity fobs usually run $150–$300 depending on the make and model.
Do you come across the Connector for a lockout?
Yes — the Isle of Palms Connector is a route I cross regularly. Front Beach, Ocean Boulevard, and Wild Dunes are all within the area I cover.
Can you make a key without the original?
Yes. If every key is lost, I can generate a new one from the vehicle's own security data instead of copying an existing key — handled at the vehicle for most makes and models.
My fob quit after a beach day. Is that a battery or something worse?
Often just the battery — a quick, inexpensive fix. If salt water got into the board, the fob usually needs to be replaced and reprogrammed. I can tell which it is quickly.
How long does a visit take?
Most spare-key and fob jobs are under an hour once I arrive. Lockouts are usually quicker.
Is there an extra charge for coming out to the island?
No — no separate travel charge.
